Regarding the Residency Management System

A Resident Card has been issued in accordance with the residency management system since July 9th, 2012. International residents are required to carry the resident card with them at all times, so be sure to take it with you whenever you go out.
You are requested to confirm the information on the website below (provided by Immigration Bureau of Japan), and to take necessary procedures.

The University of Aizu Joint and Several Guarantee System for Accommodation Rental Contracts for International Students

The University offers an option for currently-enrolled international students and international students who have received permission for admission to The University of Aizu when they agree to rental contracts for private apartments, etc. to have the University be a guarantor for the contract.
In order to have The University become a guarantor in such cases, documents relevant to the application process must be submitted to the Student Support Section of the Student Affairs Division, in addition to getting coverage by the Comprehensive Renters' Insurance for Foreign Students Studying in Japan offered by Japan Educational Exchanges and Services (JEES).

Scholarships

There are several scholarship programs available to international students. Upon receipt of invitations for application to scholarships from relevant foundations/organizations, students will be informed via e-mail. If you wish to apply for a scholarship, please take due procedures for application. For details, please contact the Health and Welfare Services Section, Student Affairs Division. The number of recipients for each scholarship program is limited, and not all applicants can be recipients of scholarships.
