On Wednesday, January 18, 2023, International Talk took place via Zoom as an activity of Global Lounge. Thirty people, including students and faculty members, joined the event.

Mr. ROBB Fraser Charles, an undergraduate student, was featured as a speaker. He introduced his country "Australia" in English! Ms. SATO Chihiro, a first-year student, acted as the MC for the event.

The presentation was an excellent overview of Australia, including its geography, history, sports, traditional food, and indigenous animals. The great thing about his explanation was the numerical data accompanying the images. He kept the audience interested by showing concrete numbers and making the presentation convincing and meaningful; his talk about the harmful effects of environmental problems made the audience think.

Many other attractive things cannot be fully described here (see the pictures below). The audience was attracted by his slide materials, completely losing track of time. People there didn't even notice that it was past the scheduled time!

The Q&A session was limited due to time constraints, but it was interesting to hear about the differences between Australia and New Zealand.

The next International Talk will be held in April via Zoom. Don't miss it!
