"Welcome Party" for new faculty and staff members and international/Japanese students was held at Keyaki restaurant (2F the Student Hall) on Thursday, May 31st, 2018. The event was jointly organized by Center for Globalization and SAISUA in spring and fall every year. There was a total of 89 participants including students and faculty staff. Mr. Tak Hei Law and Ms. Yuan Tu, 1st year undergraduate students from China took the role of the MC. At the beginning of the party, President Oka and President of the SAISUA Villegas gave welcome remarks, and new comers introduced themselves. There were various contents at the party, for example, Mr. Kyosuke Mori, 4th year undergraduate student introduced Global Lounge, Mr. Takahirio Yamauchi, also 4th year undergraduate student introduced "Nakagoya" Activity, and UoA Yosakoi Dance team "K" performed Yosakoi Dance in front of the participants. At the end of the party, Vice-president Tei led the people to do "Ippon Jime" which is a traditional clapping ritual to honor the close of a formal event and the party ended in grant success. There were 36,905 JPY donations from the participants to SAISUA at the party. We greatly appreciate all of the support from the participants.
