Ms. Hiruni Madhusha Rupasingha from Sri Lanka, Mr. Mai Viet Vuong and Mr. Le Van Cong from Vietnam, Mr. Mohammed Hassan from Nigeria and Ms. Yukari Sekiguchi were invited by Kumamachi and Ohno elementary school on November 17th for international understanding classes. They introduced greeting words, traditional foods and plays, elementary school and their life style.
The elementary school students were interested in the differences between Japan and foreign countries. In the class, elementary school students tried to play the traditional games of Vietnam and Sri Lanka. It was great time for all of them, not only elementary school students but also international students. International students are trying to attend international understanding classes to deepen the cross-cultural diversity. Office for Strategy of International Programs will expand such activities in the future.
