Mr. Pham Van Thanh from Vietnam, Mr. Isuru Jayarathne from Sri Lanka, Ms. Ying-Chen Liu and Mr. Jia-Wei Liu from Taiwan were invited by Kumamachi and Ohno elementary school on November 10th for international understanding classes. They introduced greetings, traditional foods and plays, their elementary school and their daily life.
The elementary school students were interested in the differences between Japan and foreign countries. In the class, elementary school students tried wearing Sri Lankan clothes and played the Taiwanese and Sri Lankan game together. It was a great opportunity to enjoy different cultures. International students are trying to attend international understanding classes to deepen the cross-cultural diversity. Office for Strategy of International Programs will expand such activities in the future.
