Mr.Tak Hei Law from Hongkongand, Ms. Yuan Tu from China and Ms. Liane Walter from German were invited by international understanding class for the third grade students of Ikki elementary school in Aizu Wakamatsu city on February 15th, 2019.
Total 119 3rd undergrad students were devided each 2 classes and lissoned about China&Hongkong and Gelman at 3 & 4 period.
Those international students introduced the differences between Japan and foreign countries about their culture such as greetings, traditional food, games, tourist spots, daily life, animation and song by Japanese.
The elementary school students became interested in watching the Japanese animation broadcasting in China and Hongkong, and German animation.
During the class, elementary school students asked international students about their country, international students were sometimes in difficulty to answer.
At the end of the class, the students enjoyed playing foreign game. It was a great time to deepen international understanding.
UoA international students actively get involved with the local community.
Office for Strategy of International Programs will keep providing such activities in the future.
