Professor Herder from Dusseldorf University of Applied Sciences (Germany,) with which the University of Aizu concluded an exchange agreement, was granted the title of visiting professor by Chairperson Tsunoyama of the Board of Executives.

Professor Herder is scheduled to stay at the University of Aizu from the beginning of June approximately for two months in order to hold consultations, etc. related to international conferences, student exchanges, and exchange programs in the future. With granting of the title of visiting professor, further exchanges will be interacted between Dusseldorf University of Applied Sciences and the University of Aizu.

It is the first time the University of Aizu has bestowed the title of visiting professor to a faculty member from overseas universities for the purpose of international exchange promotion.
