On Wednesday, November 29th, 2023, International Talk took place via Zoom as an activity of Global Lounge. Nineteen people, including students and faculty members, joined the event.

Mr. MANFOUO Cedric William, a master's course student was featured as a speaker. He　introduced his country "Cameroon" in English! Ms. HAYASHI Juri, an undergraduate student acted as the MC for the event.

The presentation was an excellent overview of Cameroon, including its geography, history, language, recommended places, and food. The great thing about the explanation is the beautiful pictures. He kept the audience interested by showing many pictures and making the presentation convincing and meaningful. We were surprised to know that rice planting and taro are the same as in Japan. After hearing the story, many of the participants must have felt close to Cameroon and wanted to visit.

Many other attractive things cannot be fully described here (see the pictures below). The audience was attracted by his slide materials, completely losing track of time. People there didn't even notice that it was past the scheduled time!

The Q&A session was limited due to time constraints, but it was interesting to learn about the cultural differences between Cameroon and Japan.

The next International Talk will be held in December via Zoom. Don't miss it!
